Healthcare VC Associate

Our client is an early stage life sciences-focused VC firm.  The team has invests across life sciences field with particular focus on life sciences tools & diagnostics as well as therapeutics, digital health, agriculture and other related applications.

Key Responsibilities

​

The Associate will support senior team members in all aspects of the investment process, including:

 

• Conduct scientific evaluation of early stage life sciences companies' products and emerging technologies. 

• Perform business due diligence including assessing market potential, competitive position and growth potential.  This will include conducting company-specific, competitor and industry analysis; establishing an investment case, constructing operating and VC models.

• Assisting with the structuring, negotiation and closing of VC investments. 

• Support portfolio company operations

• Represent our client in the VC community by attending conferences and industry events.

 

Qualifications

 

• 2-3 years of strategic consulting, investment banking or corporate development experience with a focus on life sciences companies

• PhD in life sciences (biological sciences, biochemistry, and related fields)

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Effective communication style
